Air Ambulance Appeal 2015 TARGET REACHED!

Following the Oxford Section AGM in November we have now collected a total of £755 for the Air Ambulance Appeal 2015, exceeding our target so the 2015 appeal is now finished!

We would like to thank all BMW Club members and our friends at Bahnstormer and North Oxford Garage who supported the Air Ambulance 2015 appeal. A special thanks to Mike Dore who managed the collection tins and sold a lot of Christmas cards as well!

The Thames Valley Air Ambulance performs a vital service saving lives of those in need of emergency medical assistance, especially motorcyclists like ourselves. So far the Thames Valley Air Ambulance has flown 16,364 missions saving lives at a cost of £2,500 per mission. The service relies entirely on donations so our support is very important.

At the committee meeting in December we decided to set the Air Ambulance Appeal 2016 at £1,000 so are going to ‘push the boat out’ on this one (or should that be helicopter?).

The website has now been updated with the 2016 appeal ‘thermometer’ and if you would like to make a donation directly you can click on the Air Ambulance logo to visit JustGiving.com or else you can donate at one of the many Oxford Section events in 2016.

Happy Christmas!
