On April 27th we are holding a BMW Club GS day with Bahnstormer Maidenhead, – hopefully we will have something for everyone, GS rider or not!

The day starts at the Ace cafe from 08:00 where we will be seeing Nigel Richardson leaving on his Silk Road Trip: London to Beijing with Globebusters. Some will remember Nigel’s excellent talk at Uffington on his travels, this is the next chapter.
John Ottaway will then lead a scenic ride out, departing 10:30, back to the Waterfront Cafe at Benson for lunch at 12:00. From the cafe we will leave at 13:30 for Bahnstormer Maidenhead for the GS day event.
Bahnstormer Maidenhead are kindly hosting the BMW Club GS Day and there will be refreshments, GS test rides, sparkliest GS competition and also a 20% one day discount on parts and accessories for BMW Club members (see pdf for details).
At 17:00 we will have the highlight of the day a talk by Dr Pat Garrod about his 100,000 mile round the world trip on his R100GS ‘The Bear’ with his partner Vanessa. Pat will be happy to sign copies of his book ‘BEARBACK – The World Overland’, and you can buy them on the day at a discount.
We hope to see you on the BMW Club GS day, you can come for the whole day or for sections as suits you best. Remember you don’t have to have a GS, although we would like to get a good GS turnout for the sparkliest bike competition!
