We met at a very damp MacDonald’s in Benson a total of 9 motorcycles and 2 cars. As luck would have it, Ian Dobie has already arrived and was insistent that we join him, at least that’s why I understood from his energetic waving…

 

After much laughter and general banter, it was time to “enjoy” the pre ride briefing, some wag wanted to make sure there was no “ford” so I enjoyed pumping up the adrenalin by presenting the route, complete with a river crossing, much to everyone’s enjoyment…

 

The rain persisted for a few minutes after we set off but became increasingly pleasant ending up at 18 degrees at our destination. The ride into London was deliberately planned to make use of the smaller traffic free roads. We approached the dreaded river crossing in Henley, I had of course omitted to tell everyone that we were using the bridge….

 

A very enjoyable day, great riding, banter and company, already looking forward to the next one..
