It’s all very simple………….There’s a hot bit that makes loads of steam.
The Steam makes the Engines piston go up and down.
The Piston makes the Pump go up and down via the Beam.
Even in the 1800’s they had 3 valve engines.
And out comes the Water to Top Up the Canal.
