The Bring and Buy sale at Uffington was blessed with good weather and there was a good turnout of members and visitors for the sale.

Excellent bacon sandwiches were organised by Dave Hicks and a band of helpers. They were a big success! The event was supported by our local BMW dealers, Bahnstormer Motorrad and North Oxford Garage. Geoff Clough reports that overall sales were up from last year so a good start to 2012.

In the car park there was a good collection of BMWs including a pair of the rare R1200ST, an excellent bike but not very popular. John and Dave have almost identical machines and Nick also owned a similar RT1200ST!
Good picture Steve the few owners I have met on my travels all praise the 1200ST, I think if BMW had persevered a bit more with one or two changes it may have caught on in the UK more than it did.
I believe it went down well on the Continent.
Dave
Hi Dave yes I agree the ST was very under rated. BMW have struggled to create a modern RS the K1200R sport comes to mind. Perhaps they could offer a Hannigan fairing on an R1200R? Steve
