The Cassington Bike Night 2015 yesterday was a great success, blessed with some lovely weather. The Cassington event is run by the village to collect for charities so it is a worthy event for the club to support. Speaking to Martin Ritchie at the end of the event he thought that the parking was almost full which means about 12,000 bikes attended. Martin was running his new R1200GSA LC which had done only 40 miles a lot of it running up and down Cassington High Street organising last night!
The Oxford Section stand was on the green and this year we were joined by North Oxford Garage which made a combined BMW front in the best location (HD and Triumph were round the back!). Rosemary and the rest of the team had a successful evening recruiting new members with 11 new Oxford Section members and two partners plus another 2 new members for Western Section. Welcome to all of our new members we hope to see you at other events soon.
Thank you to all those members who volunteered for marshalling and brought older bikes for the stand (including Clive’s Triumph Legend which got a lot of interest). The marshalling was much appreciated by the Cassington team.
This was the best Cassington Bike Night yet and it was a good social event for the club as well good to see a lot of members dropping in to say hello. John Broad has done a great job in building our presence at Cassington Bike Night and we can look forward to another good event in 2016.
