This year’s rideout from Lechlade on Saturday 31st of May will be visiting Lodge park in Gloucestershire, see:
National Trust Lodge Park and Sherborne Estate
We will be gathering at the camp site at 1:30 pm to leave at 1:45 pm. There will be a second meeting point at Brewery Street car park in Highworth for anyone who is not staying at the camp site who wishes to join us. To find Brewery Street follow the signs for car park and toilets from the A361 through Highworth. We will be leaving Highworth at 2:00 pm, the route will pass through some of the quieter Cotswold villages away from the main tourist trail and after visiting Lodge Park we will return via the A40 and A361 back to Lechlade.
Total distance will be around 40 miles, please have sufficient fuel as no fuel stop is planned. (There is a petrol station on Station Road in Lechlade and another on the A361 in Highworth)
Admission to Lodge Park costs £6 per person and there is a small tea room within the venue.

Excellent ride out, enjoyed the company, the ride and learning a bit more about local history.
Thank you Dave for organising it.
Great ride out Dave . An interesting history to the Lodge .
I went back to the campsite to tell Wendy about the tapered sweet chestnut floorboards in the main room now that she has just put down burnt oak laminate in the hallway of our house .
Told her I expect better ………ouch.
That’s the other eye bruised !! John
Thanks for taking us to the Lodge, Dave. Didn’t know the place existed. Just goes to show you don’t really need to travel far to be educated.
