Lechlade Rideout

The rideout from Lechlade this weekend will be to Avebury, Silbury Hill and White Horse Hill at Uffington.

Departure from Lechlade will be  on Saturday June 1st at 2pm

(Not 9am as published elsewhere)

As the campsite is only open to those staying on the site there will be a second pick up point at Brewery Street car park in Highworth at  ten past two.

Follow signs for car park/toilets from the A361 through Highworth to find Brewery Street.

The route will go through Shrivenham and Chiseldon to join the A4361 to Avebury, then the A4 to Silbury Hill for a short stop. Returning to Avebury along The Avenue then over Hackpen Hill to Marlborough.

Back towards Swindon then over the downs to Aldbourne for a “comfort break” then to White Horse Hill via Lambourn. and returning to Lechlade via Faringdon.

Total distance is about 90 miles, please have sufficient fuel for the journey as no fuel stop is planned. There is now a petrol station in Lechlade on the A361 Burford road, and another on the A361 just before the traffic lights in the centre of Highworth.

Arrival back in Lechlade should be around 5:30pm
