You are cordially invited to join me on this tour that will have some great roads to ride in the Snowdonia area. The tour will be based in the Dolgellau area and there are a number of very good hotels in Dolgellau, for example, The Royal Ship, Queen’s Square, Dolgellau LL40 1AR, telephone 01341422209.
To join the tour you will need to make your own hotel arrangements, booking accommodation with your credit card.
I will leave Mollies Diner, Shrivenham Rd, A420, Buckland, Faringdon, SN7 8PY at 10:30 on the morning of Friday 20th May. We will have a light lunch in Newent, a leg stretch and cup of tea at Crossgates and then make our way to the Dollgellau area in the late afternoon, riding a total of about 170 miles.
I will be staying at the George III Hotel, Penmaenpool near Dolgellau and the tour will start at 09:00 on Saturday, from the car park of the George III Hotel. I can say you will have superb roads to enjoy during the day, good stops for food or leg stretch, but it is Wales and I cannot guarantee a rain free day; so come prepared!
It is quite a long way to Dolgellau from the Oxford area, so I recognise some of you may prefer to make your own way there and we meet up on the Saturday morning.
You might be interested in staying another night to allow some extra time in the area on Sunday. For example, I plan to ride to the Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog.
