During 2020 the Oxford Section has been collecting for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA) charity. We have now collected £1,090.94 which exceeds our annual target of £1,000! We have also received a very nice thank you letter from TVAA:
The charity collection is a great effort, thank you to all those who have contributed to TVAA. The Air Ambulance service is supported entirely by fundraising and TVAA provides the vital service which motorcyclists rely on. We should pay particular thanks to Carl Flint who undertook a South Downs cycle ride raising over £400 of our total – thank you Carl! Dave Tomlinson and James O’Shea also launched the Oxford Motorcycle Ride (OMR) Meetup group where participants are invited to contribute £2 to TVAA for each ride. This has generated a steady flow of funds for TVAA – thanks to the generosity of the OMR riders!
The Oxford Section can be very proud of our effort which has been done despite COVID-19! So with such an excellent performance in 2020 where do we go next? We will continue to collect for TVAA and perhaps we can try and beat our 2020 goal, £1,200 anyone?
