BMW Club Oxford Calendar 2021
We are putting together the 2021 calendar and would welcome your input. Depending on individual participation we hope to provide a varied calendar of events and it would be great if I could have your thoughts.
We have been considering some ideas including: –
- Maintaining the Sunday ride outs
- Weekday organised “Meet Up” ride outs
- 2021 Short Notice Rides (SNR) Ideas
- Charity Drive & Ride Outs – e.g. Charity Berkshire Easter Egg Run
- Ride Outs to Bike Nights for recruitment, raising the profile e.g. Cassington
- Manning a checkpoint / raising a team for the National ACU Rally
- Skid Pan sessions, 4WD off road at Thruxton, Slow Speed riding course, track days etc…
- Go Karting – Swindon, Reading, Maidenhead
Potential visits might include:-
- Morgan,
- Jaguar,
- Triumph Motorcycles,
- BMW Mini
- Steam Railway Engineers: Pendon Museum, Didcot GWR, Gloucester / Warwickshire Steam Railway, Seven Valley Railway Kidderminster, Bluebell Railway
- Museums: Coventry transport museum, Sammy Miller museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Brooklands museum, National motor museum, Black County museum, Dover transport museum, Tank museum Bovington, Jet Age museum Gloucester, History on Wheels museum, British motor museum, Portsmouth historical Dockyard
- Aircraft: Cosford, Shuttleworth, Duxford,
- Cafes: Loomies, Super Sausage, The Shed Charlbury, AV8, H’s, Touch Down Wellesbourne, Turweston
