Update from Nigel Richardson.
As you can see the diet has yet to begin: Posing here on a ferry crossing a lake in Montenegro. Both scenery and weather,so far, excellent. In fact it’s a little too hot, sometimes 30+ degrees c. Mind you, we are now on the Greek Adriatic coast 30 miles from the Turkish border so not unexpected. Tomorrow it’s Istanbul where the East starts in earnest.
So far, no dramas although a few got lost in Tirane (Albania) and there have been the usual ‘drops’ on roundabouts where diesel covers the Tarmac. France was wet , Germany busy, Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia had stunning coastal drives and Montenegro and Albania boasted spectacular mountain scenery. Greece is dusty. That’s eight countries and approx 2000 miles.
Keep the home fires burning.
